Women
"Women, in whom life abides and dwells more immediately, more fruitfully and more trustingly, are bound to have ripened more thoroughly, become more human human beings, than a man, who is all too light and has not been pulled down beneath the surface of life by the weight of a bodily fruit and who, in his arrogance and impatience, undervalues what he things he loves. This humanity which inhabits woman, brought to term in pain and humiliation, will, once she has shrugged off the conventions of mere femininity through the transformations of her outward status, come clearly to light, and men, who today do no yet feel it approaching, will be taken by surprise and struck down by it."
Rocky Quote!
Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!
Thinking about other ...
Stop thinking that other people are going to come and save you. You gotta save yourself.
Be Sad !
It’s okay to be sad. You don’t owe anyone a performance of being okay when you feel like you’re falling apart.
You Fail !
Most people never pick up the phone, most people never ask. And that’s what separates the people that do things from the people that just dream about them. You gotta act. And you gotta be willing to fail.
Cry, if it makes you feel better
Have you ever heard the advice that having a "good cry" will make you feel better? Well, while waterworks may be good for some, according to a new study, most people actually do not feel better after crying.
The study, published in the Journal of Research in Personality, found that only about one third of cryers experienced elevated moods after shedding tears.
61% experienced no change in mood and 9% actually felt worse.
The researchers followed 97 women, ages 18 to 48, in the Netherlands. The participants were asked to keep to daily crying and mood diary over a three month period.
Each night the participants recorded their daily mood, urge to cry, and whether or not they shed any tears.
For each crying session, the women were asked to write about the reason it occurred, how long it lasted, how intensely they cried, where it occurred, and whether or not other people were present.
After examining 1,004 crying episodes, the scientists found that those who cried the hardest, not the longest, experienced the most mood elevation.
According to Jonathan Rottenberg, an associate professor of Psychology at the University of South Florida, the greatest benefit of crying may actually be its ability to connect you to other people.
"When crying helps it's likely not because of the tears but because it recruits social support and draws attention to important problems," explains Rottenberg.
Regardless of what the science says, what does your personal experience tell you?
